Gov. Sarah Palin is the ultimate socialist, welfare-queen governor. Alaska receives more federal subsidies per person than any other state. The people of Alaska live off the redistribution of oil and gas revenues by the federal government.
Instead of taking the money and reducing their dependence on the federal government by finding alternative sources of income, Republican Alaskan governors have paid thousands of dollars in redistribution checks to families and individuals.
Have the people of Alaska earned any of these redistribution checks? No. It's just plain and simple welfare payments.
Is Alaska a separate part of another country? Do all American taxpayers subsidize the oil and gas operations in Alaska? Yes.
Should the money from the oil and gas be shared by all Americans, not just Alaskans? Yes.
Why does 30 percent of Alaska's state budget come from earmarks? Why does another 30 percent come from oil and gas redistribution checks? Because the socialist Republican congressmen and governor of Alaska lobby the federal government successfully for unearned welfare from you and me.
